On August 27, the day after OpenAI's full report, CNBC and The Information reported Nvidia had agreed to buy Hugging Face, the company OpenAI's agents had broken into, for $12.9 billion. Nvidia confirmed the deal on September 3. Hugging Face's CEO told CNBC he had approached Nvidia's Jensen Huang weeks earlier.
