LEADNominated or unverified. Being chased.

Being chased: the retail-liquidity pipeline. Sohail Prasad co-founded Forge Global, a marketplace for selling private-company shares, then founded Destiny Tech100 to route retail brokerage money into those same shares. On August 13, 2026, the day Destiny wired $150 million into OpenAI exposure, Robinhood listed a second closed-end fund, RVII, built to put retail money into Y Combinator startups. Prasad went through Y Combinator's summer 2012 batch, per TechCrunch; Altman, a founder in YC's first batch in 2005, became its president in February 2014, per Y Combinator's own announcement, and Forge launched that year. An earlier version of this page said Altman ran YC when Prasad's company went through it; that was wrong and is corrected here. RVII's prospectus, effective August 12, says it will invest primarily in Y Combinator companies, charges 2 percent of net assets and 20 percent of gains, may buy into third-party special purpose vehicles including by purchasing other investors' existing stakes, and is sold in part through TradePMR's advisor channel. It names no OpenAI holding; OpenAI appears once, in a list of Y Combinator alumni. Listed vehicles holding OpenAI for retail buyers now include DXYZ, Neostellar, and the ARK Venture fund. Destiny's own chief executive bought $1.77 million of the fund in early September [M18], which is not what a person unloading a bad position does. Whether this is one pipeline or several firms noticing the same demand is what we are chasing; the shared day and the shared network are documented, the coordination is not, and the RVII prospectus is evidence against RVII being an OpenAI conduit at all.

joe, 2026-09-08; RVII 424B1 (accession 0001628280-26-056830) pulled from EDGAR and read the same day, archived at primaries/openai-pulls-2026-09-08/rvii-424b1-0001628280-26-056830.htm. RVII's manager is Robinhood Ventures (Sarah Pinto), not a Y Combinator founder; an earlier telling had that wrong and it is corrected here. Forge and Neostellar are documented at M16 and M17. TechCrunch (Connie Loizos, June 22, 2021) and the YC blog (Paul Graham, February 21, 2014) archived under primaries/openai-pulls-2026-09-08.
