Being chased: the evaluation vendor. Irregular, formerly Pattern Labs, founded 2023 in Tel Aviv by Dan Lahav (ex-IBM Research) and Omer Nevo (ex-Google), about 35 staff, $80 million from Sequoia and Redpoint at a $450 million valuation, hosts the cyber test environments for OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta. One misconfigured environment produced breaches of real companies by all three labs' models inside the same July window. Who else's models ran there, what else the environment touched, and why three frontier labs share one small vendor for their most dangerous tests are open questions. Irregular has said it will not disclose whether other labs were affected.
