What's Going On in Indiana · claim RC2

Who we asked, and who answered. On September 8, 2026 we sent requests for comment to the Governor's office, the Office of Inspector General, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Elevate Ventures, Iron Nation and Gaylor Electric, each naming what we intended to publish about them and inviting correction, with a reply date of September 15. Elevate's own web form rejected seven attempts, three of them for 'blocked words,' so a certified letter went to its office instead. As of September 11 exactly one has answered: the Inspector General, whose reply we published the day it arrived. On September 11 we also filed a public records request for the commerce secretary's financial disclosure statements and asked the Governor in writing whether he will release the Inspector General's disposition. What each of them says, or does not say, will be recorded here.

Who read it

joe, from our own send log. Recipients: greid@gov.in.gov (Governor's office), OIGPIO@ig.in.gov (answered, RC1), LJagger@iedc.in.gov, evinvestmentteam@elevateventures.com and the Elevate web form, contact@ironnation.org, contactus@gaylor.com; plus info@ig.in.gov and the Governor's office again on September 11. The certified letter was prepared September 8 and is with the publisher to mail. Silence is not evidence of anything and we do not treat it as any; we record it because we promised to.
