On September 1, 2026, the first Indiana-Israel BioHeartland Summit kicked off at Elevate Ventures, with Iron Nation. Elevate's chief executive, Christopher 'Toph' Day, posted it himself. The state's release the next day says the summit was hosted in partnership with Iron Nation and the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest, and it was during that summit that the state announced IBI Ag as Iron Nation-Indiana's first placement. The manager whose state loan is in default hosted the fund the state moved its money to, the week the first deal closed.

Who read it

joe, profile page fetched and archived 2026-09-08 (primaries/elevate/linkedin-toph-day-profile-2026-09-08.html), post text confirmed in the archived HTML; state release read the same day. Other attendees' posts say Elevate, Elanco and 16 Tech hosted three days and 13 Israeli companies attended; those are REPORTED and not relied on here. This lead sat in joe's own September 7 search output and was not in his synthesis; surfaced in the September 8 pull.
