On April 13, 2026, Governor Braun announced Iron Nation-Indiana, 'a new $60+ million investment and commercialization initiative,' 'anchored by a $15 million investment from the State of Indiana and a more than $30 million commitment from the Iron Nation partnership,' with Commerce Secretary David J. Adams quoted, Iron Nation's founders Gil Friedlander, Chen Linchevski and Jason Wolf named as its managing partners, and former congressman Luke Messer named as the initiative's Indiana partner. The release does not say which state fund the $15 million comes from or name the vehicle; press reports the same day said it came from the 21st Century Research and Technology Fund, the pool Elevate manages for the state, and later reports named the vehicle as Iron Nation II.
